Dr. Horowitz is an associate professor of sociology at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. He teaches and carries out research in the areas of social theory, social psychology, and political economy. He comes out of a background of social justice activism with a longstanding commitment to working-class unity and a revitalized labor movement. He is troubled by identity politics on the left and right and hopes his work might contribute to fostering critical thinking and “turning down the temperature” in the political arena.
