Address given by Dr. Joseph Chuman at the Ethical Culture Society of Westchester on Sunday, October 29, 2017.

Dr. Chuman has been the Leader of the Ethical Culture Society of Bergen County for 43 years and is also a part-time Leader at the New York Society for Ethical Culture.

In addition, he is a professor of Human Rights at Columbia University and Hunter College. Brief abstract: “Humanism extends far more deeply than merely ideas and principles to embrace matters of character and a sensitivity to the human element that lies beneath surface manifestations.”
