Youth Leadership Program (Grades 9-12)
The Youth Leadership Program (YLP) gives high school students an opportunity to lead younger children in community service activities. YLP builds leadership skills by:
- Developing and coordinating community service activities for youth in Kindergarten through 7th grade at least twice a year (fall and spring).
- Working with ECSW community to lead service activities for MLK Day of Deeds
- Organizing and facilitating ethical clubs for youth in Kindergarten through 7th grade.
Participants, in their high school senior year, will receive a certificate of completion from the program along with a letter documenting their level of participation that can be applied to college and/or job applications.
Youth Leaders qualify for junior membership in ECSW. As a junior member, you will have an opportunity to extend your leadership experience by working on committees with other Society members. Teens may participate in the national program, Youth in Ethical Societies (YES), and attend annual weekend conferences.
