Please join us for a two-part update on the American Ethical Union.

Part 1: Guest speaker, Khandra Sears, current president of the AEU will cover the transition to the new organizational structure, revitalizing AEU committees, and an overview of the budget and what it means for societies.

Part 2: Rhiannon Johnson, AEU Board member representative for WCEC will provide an update on recent board meetings, regional team progress, and upcoming AEU events.

Khandra Sears, PhD, a Research Associate at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, honed her passion for science and biology in the Bahamas and Barbados, leading to her current focus on developing vaccines against Salmonella enterica. Complementing her scientific work, she actively contributes to ethical societies and humanist movements, embodying community leadership and service.

Rhiannon, with over 15 years in chemistry across various industries, leads Laboratory Science and Services at PDI. She enhances team and process efficiency, aiming to extend her expertise to the Westchester Community for Ethical Culture. Her roles in volunteerism, mentorship, and a budget-savvy leader culminated in her selection as AEU Board member for WCEC.
