Join us at Dorry’s Diner for a talk on emergency preparedness by guest speaker Capt. David Burpee of the White Plains Dept. of Public Safety.

In his talk, “Are You Ready?” Captain Burpee will include some things we know, some we might not, and how to motivate ourselves to be really ready. His talk will include “What can happen?” How to think about this stuff: “Be not afraid!” What you should do now, what you should do if there is warning, and what else you can do. “Prepare softly but carry a big flashlight.” How government prepares. What resources are available. How to get involved and be of service. What happens in a disaster or large scale emergency? Resources for everyone to plan, prepare, and learn more.

Food ordering starts at 5:30 pm. The talk begins at 6 pm.
