Celebrate this crazy election year with “This Machine”
An evening of original songs and laughter with Roy Zimmerman, with an opening performance by exciting local talent!
The title “This Machine” is Roy’s nod to Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie—an acknowledgement that songwriting can do good work in the world. Roy Zimmerman write hilarious, rhyme-intensive songs that also turn the world inside out and upside down! “Sometimes I think satire is the most hopeful and heartfelt form of expression,” Roy says, “because in calling out the world’s absurdities and laughing in their face, I’m affirming the real possibility of change.”
Roy has recently shared the stage with Bill Maher, John Oliver, Ellen DeGeneres, and Kate Clinton. His songs have popped up on HBO and Showtime. He’s been profiled on NPR. And he’s a featured blogger on The Huffington Post.
Admission: $18 (or what you can). Food, beer, and wine will be available for purchase.
The concert will be held at the Ethical Culture Society of Westchester,
7 Saxon Wood Road, White Plains, NY.
