HUMANITAS: Based, to a large extent, on a revealed book, followers of revealed religions claim that human beings cannot be moral without God and or a belief in God.  Join HUMANITAS: The Africana Ethical Society on Saturday, October 12, in a discussion on the topic: Can human beings be moral without God and or belief in God?

HUMANITAS: The Africana Ethical Society is a naturalistic organization committed to human development by deconstructing metaphysical and pseudo-scientific misconceptions regarding the human experience and building an alternative on a foundation of naturalism and critical thought.

All are welcome

You are also invited to attend and participate in the annual 2019 PRAT (Philosophy and Religion in the Africana Tradition) Conference.  This two-day Conference will be held at the CUNY Graduate Center on Friday, October 25, and at the May Day Community Space, Brooklyn, NY on Saturday, October 26.  The PRAT Conference is co-sponsored by HUMANITAS.  The theme of this year’s conference is: Economic Justice in an Age of Scarcity and Abundance.
