Join us as we watch a video of Dr. Jeremy Kohomban, Ph.D, President & CEO of The Children’s Village and Harlem Dowling, giving his presentation Not ‘Bad Kids’, But Rather ‘Kids to Whom Bad Things Have Happened’ on Zoom Sunday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. ET.

The Children’s Village (CV), founded in 1851 is the nation’s oldest children’s residential treatment center. Currently serving over 17,000 children and families in the NY Metro area, CV provides community-based family support services, and residential care for children – in foster care, caught up in juvenile and criminal justice systems, and unaccompanied immigrant minors.

Dr. Kohomban shares CV’s trajectory—from its early involvement with the Orphan Train movement to its influential role today as a leading advocate for policies affecting children and families, including passage of landmark Federal legislation – The Family First Prevention and Services Act.

The Platform was originally recorded at the Ethical Society of Northern Westchester.
