The United States has the world’s most expensive healthcare system and some of the worst health care outcomes – at least when compared to similarly wealthy countries. A good portion of that poor performance is related to inequities within the system. Another likely factor in the industry’s poor performance is the preponderance of energy devoted to the administration of the care network and the monetization of the healthcare system.
In this talk, WCEC’s clergy leader, Bart Worden, will reflect on the healthcare experience as reported by patients and consider ways to improve health care through a more humanized approach.
